East Cobb

A Perfect Saturday in East Cobb

The best Saturday doesn't require an itinerary.

The best Saturday doesn't require an itinerary.

It needs rhythm.

Morning

Start slowly.

Good coffee.

Breakfast somewhere local.

Maybe a workout, a walk or an hour spent doing absolutely nothing productive.

Saturday mornings should feel different from Monday mornings.

Midday

East Cobb works particularly well when errands and leisure can coexist.

Take care of what needs to be done, find lunch somewhere nearby and leave enough empty space in the afternoon that the day doesn't become another schedule.

Afternoon

This is where golf belongs.

Not necessarily five hours of golf.

Maybe an hour of practice.

Maybe eighteen indoors with friends.

Maybe a competition nobody planned until everyone arrived.

Golf works particularly well on a Saturday because it can be either the main event or simply part of the day.

Evening

Don't rush home.

Have a drink.

Order something.

Watch the game.

Let another couple join you.

The best evenings often begin without anyone deciding exactly what the evening is supposed to become.

That's part of what we love about clubs.

They create the possibility of spontaneity.

You don't always need reservations across town.

Sometimes the perfect Saturday is the one that happens almost entirely within a few miles of home.
