Inside Enclave: What We've Been Building in East Cobb
There is a point in every ambitious project when drawings stop being drawings.
There is a point in every ambitious project when drawings stop being drawings.
Walls rise. Materials arrive. Lighting begins to change the character of a room. Spaces that existed for months as measurements and renderings suddenly become places you can stand inside.
Enclave has reached that point.
What we are building in East Cobb began with golf, but it was never intended to end there.
The idea was to create a private club for the way people actually live today: somewhere you can play serious golf without surrendering half a day, meet a friend for a drink, entertain a client, spend an evening with people you enjoy or simply have a place that feels different from home and work.
That required us to think beyond simulator bays.
Golf without compromise
Indoor golf works best when technology disappears into the experience.
The objective isn't to walk into a room and admire equipment. It's to step into the bay, choose a course, take a club and play.
At Enclave, golf occupies two levels of the club, with eight simulator bays designed to accommodate everything from purposeful practice to competitive rounds among friends.
But the bays are only part of the story.
A club should feel like a club
We have spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about things that have nothing to do with a golf swing.
Lighting.
Acoustics.
Stone.
Wood.
Furniture.
Sightlines.
The distance between seats.
How a drink reaches a member.
How a room feels at 9:00 in the morning compared with 9:00 at night.
Those decisions matter because hospitality isn't created by one spectacular feature. It is the cumulative effect of hundreds of details working together.
Built for what happens between the rounds
Some members will arrive because they want to practice.
Others will come to play eighteen with friends.
Someone else may meet a client, watch a game, have a drink or stay long after the clubs have been put away.
That's intentional.
We believe the best clubs become part of their members' lives rather than simply another reservation on their calendars.
Enclave is being built around that idea.
Golf brought us here.
What happens around it is what makes this a club.
