How Long Does 18 Holes Take on a Golf Simulator?

One of indoor golf's greatest luxuries has nothing to do with technology.

It's time.

An outdoor round can consume much of a day once travel, warm-up and four-plus hours on the course are included.

Simulator golf removes many of the things that slow traditional golf down.

There is no walking between shots.

No searching for balls.

No waiting for the group ahead.

No long trip from green to the next tee.

How long eighteen holes actually takes depends on the number of players, their pace, ability and the settings being used.

A single golfer playing efficiently can move remarkably quickly.

A foursome enjoying drinks, conversation and a competitive round will naturally take longer.

And that's fine.

Speed isn't always the objective.

The important difference is control.

Want a focused practice session before work?

Possible.

Nine holes with a friend?

Easy.

A leisurely eighteen with a group and drinks?

Make an evening of it.

Indoor golf doesn't make the game less meaningful.

It makes golf easier to fit into modern life.

Sometimes the greatest innovation is simply getting a few hours back.
